Download the app Hidden Stories and get to know Jihlava together with important personalities.

The story takes place in 1647 during the Thirty Years' War, when Swedish troops occupied Jihlava. The Swedish military commander Österling tyrannized the inhabitants like no one before him. Veronika, the daughter of a miller from Hrušková Dvor, stands on the walls and knows exactly who is to blame for the hardship of the Jihlavans: Samuel Österling, who is nicknamed the Fiery Swede in the city because of his red hair and explosive nature. Will you be able to liberate the city?

The route has 9 stops, is 3.5 km long and you can manage it in 1.5 hours. It leads from the Wenceslas park under the church of St. James the Greater down to the so-called Silver Valley, where it bypasses the zoo and goes up the opposite slope, where there is Heulos Hrádek, sometimes also called Chateau, on the hill. Then it returns to the valley to the summer cinema, ascends back towards the city centre and returns to the parkan through the square.
