PRIOR

The Prior department store is a building from 1983 according to the project of Zdeněk Sklepko located on the site of a complex of several townhouses standing side by side, the so-called Krecl a.k.a Chopping block.

The body of the house is complemented by roofs made of copper sheet, the flat building is optically divided into hints of imitation of individual houses, intended to copy the rhythm of the houses square. Two supply ramps lead to the underground premises of the department store, which with their notches disrupt the square, in the underground there are extensive warehouses and parking lots formed as bunkers.
